W. Valley home prices rise as number of resales fall, from the Arizona Republic, reports that the number of West Valley resale transactions in May were down from the same time frame a year ago, but prices inched upward in West Valley cities, according to numbers posted yesterday by the Arizona Real Estate Center at ASU. Prices held firm as move-up buyers dominated the market. Some of the West Valley's major cities, including Goodyear, Avondale, El Mirage and Surprise, represent 9 percent of the total resale market.
